I am from Tokushima born in 1947
The konokuko*aisen* (Kosho dyer ground) sixth generation.
Late Riichiro Furusho old man is the person who gave a life to traditional revival of Japan, and chusenhokannari by the nature indigo dyeing finishes the fine pattern by the nature indigo dyeing (I build lye fermentation) again in 1977 in 1972 for the fifth generation. Noriji of the son begins to walk the way as the dyehouse craftsman as probation of late Riichiro Kosho after the graduation from university. In environment that it was natural for Noriji who saw the back which continued with traditional natural goods dyed deep blue not to use father, the chemical dye of Riichiro for at all, and was brought up not to use the chemistry dye at all, I came close to an indigo plant.
In 1998, I am commended as a country choice excellence skill chapter "contemporary master craftsman" from Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and I receive the designation of Tokushima intangible cultural properties in April, 2018 and establish a position as the leading person of the indigo dyeing both in name and in reality.
You can enjoy a good-quality stay among the indigo dyeing works which did shuetsu full of the traditional beauty of "contemporary master craftsman" Noriji Kosho in the Awa indigo plant room (Room 509).
